More snow headed for the North Fork this weekend

BARBARAELLEN KOCH PHOTO | Plenty of morning commuters had to scrape snow and ice off their windshields early Friday.

If you enjoyed scraping the icy snow mix off your windshield this morning,  have no fear, you’ll likely get to do more of it over the weekend.

Forecasters are predicting close to an inch of snow will fall on the North Fork overnight tonight and another two to four inches is coming Saturday.

In fact, weather.com lists the chance of snow for Saturday at 100 percent.

The forecast for Saturday calls for the snow shower along with some rain on a day when temperatures will not get higher than 33 degrees. Winds are expected to be strong, too, blowing northeast at 15 to 25 miles per hour.

Another warmfront is then expected to hit the area Monday, when rain is in the forecast and temperatures are predicted to creep back into the 50s.
