Photos: Dinner, beer-tasting and the Blue Waves
The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce celebrated St. Patricks day in style Friday night, as four Suffolk County breweries brought in their latest beers for a tasting at the Sea Star Ballroom downtown.
The event featured beer from Blue Point, Long Ireland, Greenport Harbor and Southampton Publick House breweries. Televisions in the ballroom also played the News-Review’s live broadcast of the Riverhead varsity girls basketball state semifinal game.
Chamber of Commerce president Janine Nebons, who manages Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, said the Chamber organized the dinner to celebrate the holidays while giving exposure to local businesses.
“That’s the name of the game,” she said. “To use our local businesses to support local businesses. To support Sea Star from a venue standpoint, to showcase these businesses.”
