Photos: Teen artwork on display at Riverhead Free Library

ARBARAELLEN KOCH PHOTO | The teen art exhibit ends March 28.

Artwork by local teens is now on display in the Elizabeth Fox Overton gallery in the Riverhead Free Library.

The exhibit is dedicated to the memory of Riverhead High School art teacher Vincent Nasta, who was killed in a plane crash in August 2008.

The opening reception was held Friday night at the library. The show is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the library’s teen department.

The exhibit will be on display until March 28. The art work was produced by high school students at Riverhead and McGann-Mercy schools in  various classes: art studio, photography, ceramics. AP art studio, studio art, creative crafts, drawing/painting, computer graphics and advanced computer graphics.
