Unlicensed driver nabbed on DWI charges in Flanders

A Flanders man allegedly driving without a license was arrested on drunk driving charges Friday night after police spotted him driving erratically in Flanders, Southampton Town Police said.

Police pulled over 22-year-old Roberto Deleon-Cojon’s car after seeing him driving over a curb on Cyprus Avenue about 10:15 p.m., officials said.

He was then found to be intoxicated, police said.

He was charged with aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, second-degree aggravated unlicensed driving and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.

He was arraigned at Southampton Justice Court and held at the Suffolk County jail in Riverside in lieu of $35,000 bail.
