Two Calverton residents are among six men and women facing drug and conspiracy charges following an investigation by the East End Drug Task Force, officials announced today.
William Turner, 35, and Shanna Gilmore, 32, both of Calverton were arrested last Friday, according to a statement from Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.
Four other defendants from Westhampton Beach, Speonk, Manorville and Quogue face drug and conspiracy charges as well.
“A quantity of cocaine and prescription medication was seized during this ten-month investigation by East End Drug Task Force personnel,” Mr. Spota said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
Mr. Turner was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fourth-degree conspiracy.
Ms. Gilmore was also charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, officials said. Police said they found cash, a Mossberg short-barreled pump shotgun and an AK-47 assault rifle during a search warrant investigation at Ms. Gilmore and Mr. Turner’s residence in Calverton last Friday.
All defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges, officials said.
Ms. Gilmore has not posted $5,000 bond or $2,500 cash bail and is still being held. Mr. Turner has not posted $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash bail and is also being held.
