Southampton Cops: Drug charges in Riverside, Flanders

• Two people were arrested on drug charges Friday after the car they were in was stopped for a traffic violation, police said.

The driver, Deanna Yoskovich, 33, of Sweezy Avenue in Riverhead, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and insufficient lights about 2:20 a.m. on Flanders Road in Riverside, where she was stopped for a traffic infraction and was found to be in possession of two Clonazepam pills without a prescription, and a crack pipe with residue, police said.

The passenger, Dwayne Harris, 27, of Riverhead was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, after he was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana in his waistband, police said.

• Brandon Roach, 20, of Cypress Avenue in Flanders was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana last Sunday morning on Cypress Avenue. Mr. Roach was being investigated for a domestic incident when he was found to be in possession of marijuana, which was on the passenger side seat of his car, police said.

Mr. Roach admitted that the marijuana was his and that he had purchased it with his unemployment check, police said. He was also arrested for marijuana possession in 2010, according to a previously published report.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
