Celia M. Schneider

Celia M. Schneider of Riverhead died April 23 at the age of 90.

She was born May 11, 1921, in Riverhead to Lenora (Wisniewski) and Joseph Gatz. She married Ernest Schneider on Feb. 1, 1941, and was a homemaker for most of her adult life.

Predeceased by her husband on Oct. 27, 2001, Ms. Schneider is survived by her children, Barbara Palecek of Belleville, Kan., and Robert, of Center Moriches; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visiting hours and a service were held April 30 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, Father Larry Duncklee officiating. Interment took place May 1 at Calverton National Cemetery.
