Cops: Arrests made in Flanders, Riverhead Sunday

Southampton Town Police arrested a Virginia resident for driving while intoxicated at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police said Balmore Zelaya-Mendez, 35, was driving on Flanders Road in Flanders at the time of the arrest.

Also on Sunday, Southampton Town Police arrested Melody Pampena, 38, of Riverside on a bench warrant for failure to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court on an open alcoholic beverage charge.

She was taken into custody at Riverhead Town Police headquarters.
