BLOG RECAP: SWR boys lacrosse wins county title, 14-4 over Bayport

Class C County Championship

No. 1 Shoreham-Wading River (14-3) vs. No. 2 Bayport Blue Point (12-5)

The Wildcats are aiming for the second straight county title and first as a Class C school since 2007. Last year the Wildcats won as a B school while Bayport took home the crown in C.

This will be the first playoff meeting between these two programs. The Wildcats first played a playoff game in 1998. Shoreham is 32-12 all-time in the playoffs, including this year’s win against John Glenn last week.

The opening face-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Stony Brook University.
