Photos: Peconic Bay doctors guest bartend at Digger’s
The Peconic Bay Medical Center Employee Activities Committee held its semi-annual event ‘Doctors at Diggers’ Thursday evening at Digger O’Dells restaurant and bar in Riverhead.
About 10 doctors and physician’s assistants tried their hands at bartending to raise funds to help the hospital’s families in need during the year.
They raise the money in tips (last year they made more than $500) and Diggers provides food for the buffet, which the hospital sells tickets to for $20. The event was chaired by Barbara Kolpak.
