Josephine Temperino

Josephine Temperino, known as Jeppie, died June 9 at her home in Riverhead. She was 86.

She was born Sept. 28, 1925, in Brooklyn to Carmine and Rose Ugliano. She worked as an operator for Michael Rose in East New York and, according to family members, enjoyed bowling.

Ms. Temperino is survived by her husband, James; her brother, Ralph Ugliano of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours took place June 11 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass was offered June 12 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
