WATCH: Sean Walter destroyed in supervisor boat race

The Peconic River divides Riverhead from Southampton Town. So it’s the perfect place for the two town supervisors to get into carboard boats and have a race.

The perfect place, so long as you’re not Sean Walter. The Riverhead Town Supervisor fell to 1-2 in the annual race Sunday, finishing a distant second to Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst.

Ms. Throne-Holst was a blur as she crossed the finish line in her Flanders Flames boat, built by the Flanders Fire Department.
