Everett Henry Enstine

Longtime Calverton resident Everett Henry Enstine died Aug. 10 in Ithaca, N.Y. He was 88 years old.

He was born June 3, 1924, to John and Florence (Young) Enstine and graduated from Riverhead High School in 1940.

Mr. Enstine was the postmaster at the U.S. Post Office in Calverton. As a teenager, he delivered milk door to door and continued to do so into the 1970s. He owned and operated Enstine’s Dairy and for many years also owned and operated the Calverton General Store.

Predeceased by his first wife, Margaret (Webb), he is survived by his second wife, Ann, and his son, Edward, both of Ithaca; his daughter, Lynda, of Virginia; and three grandchildren.
