Thomas Myers

Thomas Myers of Riverhead died Sept. 6 at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn. He was 71.

He was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Peekskill, N.Y., to John and Pauline (Evancho) Myers. He earned a master’s degree in administration and was a principal in the Sachem School District on Long Island.

Predeceased by his wife, Karen Yantz, in February 2012, Mr. Myers is survived by his daughter, Keri Naso of Baiting Hollow; his sons, Thomas, of Flushing, and Timothy, of Burt, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Visiting hours took place Sept. 8 and 9 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service was held Sept. 10 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Larry Duncklee officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
