RECAP: Riverhead Town Board talks retirement incentives

The Riverhead Town Board is holding a public hearing on a proposed retirement incentive for workers in the CSEA, the union representing most town workers, at its 7 p.m. meeting tonight, Tuesday.

News-Review reporter Tim Gannon is reporting live from the meeting.

The town previously adopted a similar retirement incentive for police, and the board is expected to adopt a resolution Tuesday night accepting the retirements of five police officers who took the incentive, which aims to replace older, higher paid employees with newer, lower paid ones.
