Muriel H. Schwab

Muriel H. Schwab of Founders Village, Southold, died Nov. 1 at the age of 98.

She was born Sept. 3, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Dene W. and Elizabeth (Kelly) Hallam. She had been a North Fork resident since 1945, summering in Cutchogue before moving here permanently in 1973. A former resident of Garden City and Nassau Point, she had lived in Southold since 1990.

Predeceased by her husband, George L. Schwab Jr., a son, George L. Schwab III and a daughter, Nancy Schwab Muncy, she is survived by her daughter-in-law, Geri L. Schwab; grandchildren George L. Schwab IV, Craig M. Schwab, Tammy Taglieri and Scott Robelen; and great-grandchildren George L. Schwab V, Riley and Griffin Schwab, Michelle and Samantha Taglieri and Gage Robelen.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where funeral services will commence at noon, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Peter J. Kelley. Interment will follow at Cutchogue Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Eastern Long Island Hospital, 201 Manor Place, Greenport, NY 11944 would be appreciated.
