Riverside man accused of sexually abusing 6-year-old girl

A 26-year-old Riverside man was arrested Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl last month, Southampton Town police said.

Marvin Patzan is facing charges of aggravated sexual abuse, a C felony, and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, town police said in a press release Thursday.

Authorities said the alleged incident happened in a residence in October and involved a child known to Mr. Patzan.

He was arraigned in Southampton Justice Court and held on $25,000.
