The Riverhead Town Board met in executive session Thursday to discuss a contract to hire former congressman George Hochbrueckner as a consultant to developing the town’s Enterprise Park at Calverton.
(The executive session was not on the agenda.)
The board then met publicly for its regularly scheduled work session in Town Hall.
During the meeting, board members spoke at length with Long Island Farm Bureau officials to discuss the town’s transfer of development rights program (TDR).
The board also considered a proposal to establish criteria for appointees to boards like the ZBA and Planning Board.
The meeting started at 10:30 a.m. and News-Review reporter Tim Gannon reported live.
