Recap: Town Board’s first meeting of 2013

The Riverhead Town Board held its first official meeting of the new year just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, and it only lasted for about 20 minutes.

The board made some budget adjustments and employee salary resolutions, among other business.

The public was also treated to a visit by 5-year-old JoJo, a Riverhead shelter dog, and ACO Jessica Eibs-Stankaitis, who’s back on the job after getting mauled by a dog last year.

The Town Board members also met earlier, at 10 a.m., for a brief work session to go over resolutions. (Click here to see what happened.)
