Recap: Riverhead Town discusses EPCAL subdivision

The Riverhead Town Board on Thursday discussed plans for the Calverton Enterprise Park subdivision map being hammered out with VHB, the planning firmed hired to create the map and complete an environmental study of the expansive property.

Supervisor Sean Walter has said getting an approved subdivision is key to finally selling and developing town-owned land at EPCAL — a former Grumman naval weapons plant and preserve.

Mr. Walter said recently the state Department of Environmental Conservation, which must approve the subdivision, appears to favor the most recent version.

The meeting — a public work session — started at 9:30 a.m. Reporter Tim Gannon was reporting live.
