Riding an eight-game unbeaten streak, the Riverhead boys basketball team travels to North Babylon tonight for a crucial League III matchup at 5:45 p.m. Follow the live blow below for all the action from North Babylon High School.

The Blue Waves improved to 6-0 in league after a hard-earned 59-55 win over Smithtown West last Thursday on the road. Riverhead trailed by eight at halftime before storming back in the third quarter with a 19-9 run to take the lead. It was the second straight game the Blue Waves used a big third quarter to grab the lead. They trailed by nine at home against Smithtown East a game earlier before pulling away.

The Bulldogs come into tonight’s game at 5-1 in league, right behind Riverhead for first place.

A Riverhead win would clinch a playoff spot.

Riverhead is 9-1 overall while North Babylon is 7-3.
