RECAP: Riverhead falls 63-38 to Sachem East in quarterfinals

The Riverhead girls basketball team faces Sachem East at 5:45 p.m. tonight in the Class AA quarterfinals. Both teams will be looking to advance to Saturday’s semifinal matchup against Walt Whitman or Bellport.

Riverhead and Sachem have won two of the last three county titles in Class AA. Sachem won the county title in 2010 and lost in the finals in 2011 to Deer Park. Riverhead won last year en route to the state semifinals. Click here for a preview.
