Gertrude E. Iglesias

Gertrude E. Iglesias of East Marion died April 1, 2013. She was 92 years old.

She was born May 6, 1920, in East Marion to Edward and Esther (Schafer) Tuthill.

Predeceased by her husband, Marcus Iglesias, in 1995, and her daughter Marcy in 2000, she leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Donna Wexler and Thomas Quarty; grandchildren, Kelly (Mark) Hall, Kevin (Tina) Quarty and Michele (Mike) Wilinski; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Elizabeth Hall, Brayden Quarty and Tyler and Kaylee Wilinski.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, and funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. George Gaffga officiating. Interment will follow at East Marion Cemetery.

The family has asked that flowers be omitted and rather contributions be made to Avow Hospice in Naples, Fla., or East End Hospice in Westhampton.
