Two people were arrested after they were caught driving while intoxicated in separate incidents this weekend, Riverhead Town police said.

An upstate woman was the first to be arrested after she was pulled over on East Main Street for having no headlights on at 12:39 a.m. Saturday. Dayna Delillo, 26, of Hudson, N.Y. told police she had been at a wedding on the North Fork Saturday, police said.

She was found to be intoxicated and was arrested at the scene, police said. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, a first offense, and held for arraignment at police headquarters.

The next morning, a Riverhead man with prior convictions was arrested for drunken driving, police said.

Nelson Guevara, 29, was pulled over near the intersection of Doctor’s Path and Northville Turnpike about 4:25 a.m. Sunday for not staying in his lane. He was drunk at the time and was arrested at the scene, police said.

Mr. Guevara was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated because of prior offenses, police said. Information about the conviction was not immediately available.

He was taken to police headquarters and held for arraignment.
