William James Jones

William James Jones of Mastic Beach died April 11 at home. He was 69 years old and had previously lived in Riverhead for 60 years.

Born March 6, 1944, in Buffalo to Raymond and Loretta (Williams) Jones, he worked at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center as a stationary engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (née Freudenberg); his sons, John, Jeffrey, R. Douglas and Raymond Hensley; his daughters, Maria, Kristine, Samantha and Brittany Hensley; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Mastic Beach. Interment will be at Wading River Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead.
