Kathleen Skiba

Lifelong Riverhead resident Kathleen Conklin Skiba died May 3. She was 64.

Born July 6, 1948, she attended Riverhead schools and later worked for the school district for 25 years as a secretary at the high school and middle school. Family members said she loved spending time in her garden.

Ms. Skiba is survived by her husband, Steven; a son, Brian Sohre of Riverhead; three daughters, Karen Dotzel of West Virginia, Becky Boughn of Maryland and Laura, of Islandia; and eight grandchildren.

Visiting hours took place May 5 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. Services and cremation were private.

The family suggests that those wishing to honor Ms. Skiba plant flowers or trees in her memory.
