Chris Lamendola

Former Riverhead resident Chris Lamendola of Southold died May 31 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson. He was 57 years old.

He was born in Riverhead Nov. 2, 1955, to James and Alice (Herdeman) Lamendola and served as a lieutenant with the New York State Court system in Riverhead.

Mr. Lamendola is survived by his wife, Christina (née Legio), of Southold; three daughters, Christa Lamendola-Parks of Maryland, Britteny, of Southold, and Christina Amoruso of Yonkers; two sons, Cory, of Nassau County, and Joseph Amoruso of Yonkers; and two brothers, Gene, of Hampton Bays, and Jay, of Riverhead. He was predeceased by his parents.

The family will receive visitors Monday, June 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 5, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Larry Duncklee officiating. Cremation will be private.
