Julius J. Swiatocha III

Former Riverhead resident Julius J. Swiatocha III of Holbrook passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. He was 61 years old.

He was born May 30, 1952, to Julius and Constance Swiatocha and graduated from Riverhead High School in 1970.

Jules, as he was known to his friends, accomplished many things during his lifetime. He was a meticulous individual in his approach to everything, including his passion for golf.

He dedicated 20 years of service to the Riverhead Police Department, from 1975 to 1995. His last notable accomplishment was earning the honor of master electrician.

Julius is survived by his partner and best friend, Camille Leonardo. He also leaves two brothers, Wayne and Stephen Swiatocha. Most important, he leaves behind his two daughters, Tara Clarke of Wading River and Megan Swiatocha of California, along with granddaughters Madison Tillman and Scarlet Angel.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, with Father Robert Kuznik officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
