Celebrating the accomplishments of Riverhead’s ‘saint’

They called her a saint, the “fairy godmother of Riverhead,” and more. So when Theresa Drozd — Riverhead High School’s crisis prevention specialist and an active leader in the school’s Council for Unity, student government, and other programs — announced she would be retiring at the end of this year, school and nonprofit officials prepared their proclamations honoring her. Riverhead pitcher wins Yastrzemski Award

Riverhead native in critical condition after hit and run

Ashley Johnson, 23, a former Riverhead High School student, was struck by a red pick-up truck June 6 while crossing a major highway in Tampa about 11:45 p.m., according to a report. Read more …
