Helen M. Schaw

Former Riverhead resident Helen M. (Handibode) Schaw of Mastic Beach died July 14 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 90 years old.

Predeceased by her husband, William C., and a daughter, Patricia Pinney, Ms. Schaw is survived by her son, William, of Riverhead; her daughters Susan Dolan of East Quogue and Gail Koroleski of Riverhead; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was also predeceased by her brother, Francis Handibode.

The family received visitors July 16 at J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. An afternoon prayer service was conducted that day at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays, where funeral services took place July 17. Interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
