Riverhead police officers and McGruff the Crime Dog toured the town Tuesday night as part of National Night Out, an anti-crime neighborhood watch program now in its 30th year.

National Night Out encourages residents to connect with neighbors and remain alert in their communities. Riverhead police officers split into two teams to visit six block parties Tuesday night.
