Julia’s Pizzeria and Restaurant, an East Main Street pizza shop that came under new management earlier this year, has closed its doors.
The pizzeria’s owners vanished about a month ago, when the restaurant suddenly shut down over the Fourth of July weekend, said Gary Kossman, the owner of the business’ building.
“He just disappeared and never came back,” Mr. Kossman said. “I don’t think they knew what they were doing. It was downhill right from the start.”
The restaurant had been sold from the original owner to new managers about six months before the store shut down, he said.
The business’ previous owner is now trying to contact the current owners to get his business back, Mr. Kossman said.
The pizzeria owners could not be reached for comment.
