Edith Pendulik

Edith Pendulik of Riverhead died Aug. 15, 2013, at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 92.

She was born in Riverhead April 15, 1921, the daughter of Bruno and Althea (Ruskowski) Bobinski. Mrs. Pendulik served proudly during World War II as a second lieutenant with the Women’s Army Corps.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas, in 1990, she was the loving mother of Susan (Ralph) Spinelli, James (Barbara) Pendulik and Nikki (John) Jackson; the cherished grandmother of André, Nicholas, Gregg, James, Stephanie, Ian and Vaughn; and the step-grandmother of Nunzio, Michael and Andrea. She was the dear great-grandmother of Sierra, Emily, Jadyn and Charles; the step-great-grandmother of Alyssa, Victoria, Andrew, Valerie, Ryan, Ashley, Gwenyth and Cayden; and the fond sister of Joseph Bobinski, George Bobinski and Theadora Czartosieski and the late Bruno Bobinski and Bertha Jackewicz.

The family received friends at Alexander-Tuthill Funeral Home in Wading River on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013. Celebration of the Liturgy of the Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead on Aug. 19, followed by interment at the church cemetery.
