Jean E. Latham
Jean E. Latham of Riverhead died Sept. 1 at Riverhead Care Center. She was 85 years old.
She was born May 18, 1928, to Ambrose and Marion (Norris) Wheeler. She was self-employed as a title examiner in Riverhead.
Ms. Latham was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Bernat of Aquebogue and Carol Paro of Florida, her son, John, of Virginia; her sister, Mary Jane Patterson, of New York City; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Friday, Sept. 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist in Center Moriches, officiated by the Rev. Kevin P. VonGonten. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery of Center Moriches.
