Cops: Robbery reported at Riverhead Hess gas station Friday night
A robbery was reported Friday night at the Hess gas station on Route 58 in Riverhead near the Tanger Outlets, Riverhead Town police confirmed Saturday.
Police received a call about the robbery at 10:35 p.m. and no injuries were reported, police said. Police couldn’t confirm as of Saturday afternoon if the incident was an armed robbery.
No other details were immediately available.
A Hess employee declined comment Saturday morning and referred a reporter to company spokesman Denny Moynihan. Mr. Moynihan declined comment.
