Cops: Riverhead woman was in possession of crack cocaine
A Riverhead woman was caught holding a crack pipe at a Riverside bus shelter Saturday, town police said.
Sabrina Butler, 44, was sitting in the shelter along Route 24 with an unidentified man about 8:10 p.m., when a police officer approached and saw she was holding a crack pipe in her right hand with some cocaine inside, police said.
Ms. Butler told police she had more crack cocaine inside a pocket of her backpack, where police found a plastic baggie containing “crack cocaine resin,” according to a police report.
Ms. Butler was arrested and charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
