Harry Kobylenski

Lifelong Riverhead resident Harry Kobylenski died at his home Nov. 1. He was 95 years old.

He was born Oct. 8, 1918, to Walter and Anna (Danielowich) Kobylenski and worked as a farmer. He belonged to the Riverhead Polish Independent Club, the St. Isidore R.C. Church Holy Name Society and the Long Island Farm Bureau. He was also a former member of the Board of Education for the Riverhead School District.

Predeceased by his wife, Bertha (née Bialeski), in 2010, Mr. Kobylenski is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Witkop of Calverton, Rita Ness of Arlington, Va., and Cathleen Hanlon of Marcellus, N.Y.; his brother, Walter, of Calverton; eight grandchildren; and three grandchildren.

The family received visitors Nov. 3 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Nov. 4 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, with interment at the church cemetery.
