Henry J. Wojewocki

Lifelong Riverhead resident Henry J. Wojewocki died at his home Nov. 9. He was 97 years old.

He was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Riverhead to John and Victoria (Sobieski) Wojewocki. Family members said that he loved being a farmer at the Wojewocki Brothers family farm. He also loved travelling and frequently visited relatives in Poland.

Predeceased by his brother, Zigmund, Mr. Wojewocki is survived by his sisters, Stacia Ficner and Helen P. Krupski, both of Cutchogue, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church followed by interment at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Cemetery, both in Riverhead.
