Update: Power restored to Roanoke Avenue area

Update: As of 1:30 p.m., no outages were reported.

More than 1,100 Riverhead and Calverton properties are without power Thursday morning due to an outage near Roanoke Avenue, according to the Long Island Power Authority.

A traffic light on Sound Avenue near Roanoke Avenue was also out Thursday morning, and the Riverhead Fire Department was investigating a carbon monoxide alarm that may be related to the outage.

The outage is affecting 1,122 customers, according to a LIPA map of the outage.

Crews have been dispathed to the Riverhead and Calverton outages, according to a LIPA hotline recording. The electricity should be restored by 12:30 p.m., the recording and map states.

The cause of the outage wasn’t immediately clear.
