Frank F. Zaweski

Frank F. Zaweski of Jamesport died Dec. 15, 2013, at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 72.

He was born in Greenport June 18, 1941, to Stanley and Bertha (Glover) Zaweski and lived his entire life on the family’s “homestead land” in Jamesport.

Until a disability forced him to retire, Mr. Zaweski farmed with his brothers, Stanley (“Whiskers”), of Laurel, and Albie, of St. Petersburg, Fla., who survive him. Mr. Zaweski enjoyed going to Foxwoods, fishing, hunting, visiting friends, attending family gatherings and going to yard sales. He also served as principal caretaker for his mother during the last few years of her life. His brothers said they, along with his friends, will “miss him terribly.”

The family received visitors Dec. 18 at McLaughlin-Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Dec. 19 at St. Isidore R.C. Church, followed by interment at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church cemetery, both in Riverhead.
