Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps swears in new officers
After a snowstorm postponed its first monthly meeting, the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps swore in this year’s new officers at its rescheduled monthly meeting last Tuesday.
Officers for 2014 include Chief Joseph Oliver, Assistant Chief Lisa Corwin, Lieutenant Kara Kurtz, Lieutenant Amanda Zilnicki, Lieutenant Heather Bingham, Lieutenant Suzanne Smith, Captain Steve Sypher and Captain Rod Richardson.
The ambulance corps was founded in 1978 and provides ambulance services and emergency medical care to nearly 80 square miles of Riverhead Town from Calverton to Aquebogue.
