Beverly B. McKavish-Flynn

Beverly B. McKavish-Flynn died Jan. 22 at her Riverhead home. She was 75.

She was born July 8, 1938, in Southampton to Myron and Evelyn (Donaldson) Bennett. Family members said she was a mom and homemaker who loved caring for her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John McKavish, in 1997. Her second husband, David Flynn, and her daughters Carol Porter and Winnie Kess, all predeceased her in 2013.

Ms. McKavish-Flynn is survived by her sons, John and Billy McKavish of Riverhead; her stepson, David Flynn Jr. of Georgia; her daughters Evelyn Conklin of Mattituck and Catherine Porter of Riverhead; her stepdaughters, Karen Ratcliff and Theresa Flynn, both of Flanders; her brothers, Eugene Bennett of Riverhead and John Bennett of Southampton; her sisters, Joan Kelly of Florida, Evelyn King of Riverhead, Barbara Kincaid of Nevada and Mary Ellen Rinkens of Hampton Bays; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Jan. 24 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Jan. 25 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment was at the church cemetery.
