Blotter: Riverhead man caught with drugs during traffic stop

A 31-year-old Riverhead man was arrested for being in possession of prescription drugs in Patchogue after being pulled over for an unrelated incident last Wednesday, county police said. 

Kenneth Rickenbacker Jr. was pulled over about 6:10 p.m., according to a report.

Mr. Rickenbacker was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt for violating a court order, as well as seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, county police said.

• A 22-year-old Riverhead man was arrested for driving without a license after crashing his vehicle in Hauppauge last Wednesday, county police said.

Ryan McIntosh was arrested on Wyandanch Boulevard about 2:10 p.m. after crashing the Honda Civic he was driving, according to a report.

Police said Mr. McIntosh’s license has been suspended multiple times.

He was charged with second-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, authorities said.

• A West Main Street resident reported someone stole prescription painkillers from her home sometime Saturday, police said.

The woman reported about 54 Vicodin pills had been taken, police said.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
