The task in front of the Shoreham-Wading River girls basketball team tonight is daunting.

A trip to the Class A county championship is on the line. And to get there, the Wildcats will need to do something no team has done yet this season: Beat Harborfields.

The Wildcats will tip off at 6 p.m. tonight on the road at Harborfields with the winner advancing to play either No. 6 Miller Place or No. 2 John Glenn.

The Tornadoes come into the game with a 17-0 record and are one of three unbeaten teams in Suffolk County along with North Babylon and Huntington, which are both Class AA schools.

The fourth-seeded Wildcats (11-6) come into the game off a come-from-behind victory over Sayville Friday at Shoreham-Wading River High School.

Check back tonight for coverage.
