Update: Naked L.I.E. man taken to Stony Brook Medical Center
A 46-year-old naked man found in the center median of the Long Island Expressway in Manorville on Thursday was later taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center for a psychological evaluation, according to a New York State Police press release.
Several state police troopers and Suffolk County Police officers responded to the incident just west of exit 71 at around 11:50 a.m., eventually subduing the man and getting him under proper cover.
“The male pedestrian completely disrobed in the troopers’ presence,” the press release states.
Police at the scene said the unidentified man was unharmed.
No other details about the incident were immediately available.
