Health Beat: Seminar set for March 20 on digestive wellness

The Riverhead Recreation Department will offer a seminar on digestive wellness with health coach Amanda Andruzzi-Toussaint Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the town human resource center. Discussion will include detoxifying, nutritional support, cleansing herbs and common conditions such as IBS, MS, Crohn’s and celiac disease, candida albicans and leaky gut syndrome. Cost is $10 for Riverhead Town residents; $15 for others. Call 727-5744.

• Ibrahima Ndiaye of Wading River has been named employee of the quarter at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, where he has worked for nine years in the Department of Environmental Services. A release said Mr. Ndiaye is very dedicated and well-known for attention to detail and courtesy. His efforts, said director of support services Ray Eble, allow ELIH to exceed standards by “providing patients, staff, physicians and visitors with a clean and comfortable environment for the best in quality care.”
