Lacrosse: SWR grad off to fast start at Michigan
Shoreham-Wading River graduate Jess Angerman took on a unique challenge in her college lacrosse career: joining a first-year program.
At the University of Michigan, in the program’s inaugural year, Angerman has played an integral part in the Wolverines’ attack. The 2013 Shoreham grad, who helped lead the Wildcats to a state title in 2012, has started all 12 games and is third on the team in points. She has 16 goals and 8 assists, which lead the team.
Angerman recorded her third career hat trick Wednesday Michigan lost 19-10 to Brown.
Michigan returns to action Saturday at home against California.
Angerman was an all-county player for the Wildcats last season. Angerman’s sister is a senior defender on the Siena lacrosse team.
