More than 75 eager children lined up at the Big Duck Saturday for the third annual egg hunt hosted by The Friends of the Big Duck and the Flanders-Northampton Volunteer Ambulance.

Spring was in the air with temperatures nearing 65 degrees as the kids took to the playing field in the back of the iconic Flanders tourism center. The traditional Easter game had two groups, ages 2 to 4, and one for older children.

When the referee gave the word the kids got to work, scrambling to gather the candy-filled eggs that littered the field.

The hunt was over in just under two minutes, giving everyone a chance to indulge in a couple of the hard-fought treats before lunch time.
