Lacrosse: SWR grad named Little East Player of the Week

Danielle Landon, a 2010 Shoreham-Wading River graduate, was named the Little East Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after scoring 12 goals for Rhode Island College. 

A junior attack, Landon added four assists to give her 16 points in the week as Rhode Island went 1-2. She totaled six ground balls, six caused turnovers and 16 draw controls.

She tallied five goals with two assists in a 17-10 win over Becker April 8.

Rhode Island College, a Division III school, is 4-5 this season.

Landon started every game for Rhode Island last year as a sophomore and scored 17 goals with 10 assists. She had a team-high 55 draw controls, which ranked fifth all-time in single season program history.
