Justice court report: Drunk drivers plead guilty

There were 314 cases on the docket in Riverhead Town Justice Richard Ehlers’ court, April 14-16. The following are among those adjudicated.

• A first-degree robbery charge against Robert Santoro, 46, of Winters Road in Riverhead was dismissed in town court as he was indicted in county court.

Mr. Santoro was arrested March 14 in connection with a robbery at Capital One Bank in downtown Riverhead the previous day, in which he was accused of telling the bank teller he had a gun.

• Wilfredo Banegas-Dubon, 34, of Ocean Avenue in Hampton Bays pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $1,000.

• William Canel-Noj, 30, of Flanders Road in Riverside pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $1,000.

• Jose Samajel-Cax, 24, of Montauk Highway in East Moriches pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $1,000.

• Alonzo Sazo-Tocay, 29, of Fairway Avenue in Riverhead pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $1,000.

• Michael Bale, 48, of Westhampton Beach pleaded guilty to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny and was fined $410.

• Diego Galdamez-Galdamez, 29, of Mill Road in Riverhead pleaded guilty to unlicensed operation, reduced from unlawful possession of marijuana, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic charges, and was fined $265.

• Jose Lopez-Solano, 27, of Route 48 in Cutchogue pleaded guilty to speeding, reduced from driving while ability impaired, and was fined $250.

• Octavious Rose, 18, of East Main Street in Riverhead pleaded guilty to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was fined $205 and sentenced to time served in jail. An unlawful possession of marijuana charge was dismissed.

• Hesaun Black, 21, of Little Neck Road in Cutchogue pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, reduced from seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and was fined $300.

• Janet Merritt, 45, of Covert Street in Hempstead Village pleaded guilty to petit larceny and was fined $205.

• Charges of driving while intoxicated against Rudy Perez-Cano, 51, of 6th Street in Greenport were dismissed in town court as he was indicted in county court.

• Charges including third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglars tools against Patrick Fontaine, 32, of Pondview Boulevard in Wading River were dismissed in town court as he was indicted in county court.

• A charge of unlawful possession of marijuana against Lawrence Conner, 21, of Delmar Drive in Laurel was dismissed.

• Charges including driving while intoxicated against Augustin Rajao-Calyecac, 46, of Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays were dismissed in town court as he was indicted in country court.
